Claims Copied from Patent
The attention of applicants and attorneys prosecuting
applications for patents Is directed to the following new
paragraph of rule 94, published In the OFFICIAL GAZETTE
of November 13, 1934, page 265:
Where an applicant presents a claim copied or substan-
tially copied from a patent, he must Identify the patent,
give the number of the patented claim, and specifically
apply the terms of the copied claim to his own disclosure.
Failure to comply with the requirements of this para-
graph of the rule, without a satisfactory explanation,
may be cause for disciplinary action against the violator.
Examiners are accordingly directed to call to the personal
attention of the Commissioner any violations of this
provision whenever discovered.

U. S. PATENT OrTICE, Washington, Nov. 2, 1934.
Frederick Calman, his assigns or legal representatives, take
notice:
An Interference having been declared by this Office be-
tween the application of The American Distilling Com-
pany, Pekin, Ill., for registration of a trade-mark and
trade-mark registered November 4, 1924, No. 191,169, to
Frederick Culman, 36 West 44th Street, New York, N. Y.,
and a notice of such declaration sent by registered mail to
said Culman at the said address having been returned by
the post office as undeliverable, notice is hereby given that
unless said Culman, his assigns or legal representatives,
shall enter an appearance therein within 30 days from the
first publication of this order the Interference will be pro-
ceeded with as in case of default. This notice will be
published in the OFFICIAL GAZErTE for three consecutive
weeks.
