Attention is directed to the fact that a power of attorney
executed by an assignee of the entire interest in an apspli-
cation, as provided by rule 20, cannot be accepted or en-
tered until the assignment conveying such entire interest
has been1 recorded in this Office.
In order to facilitate the task of determining whether
the assignment has been recorded the assignee should, if
possible, identify the recorded assignment in some con-
versient way, as by giving the liber and page number.

notice:
A cancellation proceeding having been Instituted by this
Office upon the application of L. E. Waterman Company, of
191 Broadway. New York, N. Y., to effect the cancellation
of the trade-mark registration of Phineus Waterman, of
307 Underwood Bldg., Calgary, Alberta      Canada   No.
25,313, dated April 16, 1929, and the notice of such proe

ceeding sent by registered mail to the said Phineus Water-
man at the said address having been returned by the post
office undeliverable, notice is hereby given that unless said
Phineus Waterman, his assigns or legal representatives,
shall enter an appearance therein within 30 days from the
first publication of this order, the cancellation will be pro-
ceeded with as in case of default. This notice will be
published in the OFFIcIAL GAZETTE for three consecutive
weeks.
