Adverse Decisions in Interference
In interferences involving the indicated claims of the
following patents final decisions have been rendered that
the respective patentees were not the first inventors with
respect to the claims listed:
Pat. 1,542,013, T. Stenhouse, Plunger-operating mecha-
nism for glass furnaces, decided November 17, 1930, claims
7, 8, 9, and 10.
Pat. 1,628,009, A. H. Taylor, Signal-transmission sys-
tem, decided December 18, 1930, claims 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Pat. 1,700,960, R. H. Van Schanck, jr., Aryl alkyl esters,
decided November 15, 1930, claims 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7.
Pat. 1,720,947, W. H. Duggan, Battery container and

Merchants Oil Company, its assigns or legal representa-
fives, take notice:
An interference has been declared by this Office between
the application of Merco Nordstrom Valve Company, 121
Second Street, San Francisco, Calif., for registration of a
trade-mark and trade-mark registered July 21, 1925, No.
201,226, to Merchants Oil Company, corner Harrison and
Montgomery Streets, Shamokin, Pa., and no service has
been secured upon said Merchants Oil Company. Informa-
tion has come to the Office that the registration has been
assigned to The Standard Oil Co. of Pennsylvania. but the
assignment records of this Office fail to substantiate this
statement. Notice is hereby given that unless Merchants
Oil Company, its assigns or legal representatives, shall
enter an appearance therein within 30 days from the first
publication of this order the interference will be proceeded
with as in case of default. This notice will be published
in the OFFICIAL GAZETTE for three consecutive weeks.

270,181, to Archie R. Everson, 42 Littleton Avenue, New-
ark, N. J., and a notice of such declaration sent by regis-
tered mail to said Everson at the said address having been
returned by the post office as undeliverable, notice is
hereby given that unless said Everson, his assigns or legal
representatives, shall enter an appearance therein within
