DESTRUCTION OF FILES
ABANDONED APPLICATIONS
ACT OF APRIL I1, 1930
DEPARTMENT OS' COMMERCE,

Section 6 of the act of April 11, 1930 (393 0. G. 1031-2)
reads as follows:
The Commissioner of Patents is hereby authorized to
annually destroy or otherwise dispose of all the files and
papers belonging to all abandoned applications which have
been on file for more than twenty years.
(1) If any patentee calls attention within 60 days from
the date of this order to an abandoned application re-
ferred to in his patent, the file of that abandoned ap-
plication will be retained In this Office.
(2) If any member of the public similarly calls atten-
tion to a patent having reference to such an abandoned
application, the file of that application will be retained.
(3) Except as indicated in paragraphs (1) and (2),
where any applicant or the assignee of any application
wishes to obtain the file of an application which has been
abandoned for more than 20 years, such application will
be sent to him if request therefor Is made within 60 days
from date'of this order, provided that if request is made by
the applicant for such file and the record shows an as-
signment thereof, the request must be accompanied by the
assent of the assignee.
Except as above indicated, steps will be taken to destroy
the files of all abandoned applications which have been on
file longer than the 20-year period fixed by statute.

October 11, 1930, by the patentee.
Hereby enters this disclaimer to claims 14 and 15 in
said specification which are in the following words, to wit:
14. In an animal trap, the combination with a pair of
pivotally mounted jaws, of a closing lever embracing the
jaws and pivotally mounted between the jaw pivots, a
spring bearing against the back of the lever and adapted
to elevate the lever to close the jaws, and means on the
lever for preventing displacement of the spring from be-
hind the lever.
15. In an animal trap, the combination with a pair of
pivotally mounted jaws, of a substantially flat closing
lever embracing the Jaws and pivotally mounted between
the jaw pivots, a coiled spring having one end bearing
against the back of the lever and adapted to elevate the
latter to close the jaws, and a flange at the side of the
lever to prevent displacement of the end of the spring
from behind the lever.
