Regulations Concerning the Sale of German Patent
Specifications.

The following communication, referred to this Office
by the Secretary of Commerce, is published for the in-
formation of those concerned.

BERLIN, GERMANY, April 13, 1926.
Copies of German patent specifications can be ob-
tained from the atentschriften-Vertriebsstelle, 97/103
Gitschinerstrasse, Berlin SW. 61. The order must con-
tain the number of the respective patent specification,
the number of copies desired, and the customer's exact
address. Orders which do not answer these require-
ments will he disregarded.
The price is 1 Rm. for a single copy and 0.50 Rm. if-
(a) Twenty or more copies of one and the same num-
ber, or all numbers issued under a specific group or
class, or forty or more consecutive numbers are sup-
plied at a time.
(b) If the consecutive numbers issued under a spe-
cific class or group are furnished in the order they are
published.
As a rule payment shall be made with the order,
either by postal order or by transfer to the Federal
Patent Office's checking account with the Reiehsbank or

its account (No. 20073) with the Brandenburgische Giro-
zentrale at Berlin. Payment by stamps is not permitted.
Upon   request  the  Patentsch riften-Vertriebsstelle
opens an account for persons in permanent need of cop-
ies of patent specifications. The lowest amount a per-
son will be credited with is 20 Rm.
The above regulations are published in the Blatt fir
Patent-, Muster & Zeichenwesen, p. 62.
Omission of Preamble from Printed Patents.
Beginning with the issue of May 11, 1926, the pre-
amble or first paragraph of the specification of each pat-
ent, beginning with To all whom it may concern and
ending with of which the following is a specification,
is omitted from the printed copies.
The date of filing of the earliest foreign application
for the same invention and the name of the country in
which it was filed is printed on the patent.

applications, for the same Invention has been filed, to
entejz at the bottom of the face of the file wrapper the
earliest date of filing in any foreign country and the
name of such country.

ADVERSE DECISIONS IN INTERFERENCE.
In interferences involving the Indicated claims
of the following patents final decisions have been
rendered that the respective patentees were not the
first inventors with respect to the claims listed:
Pat. 1,491,405, A. W. Hull. Signal-receiving sys-
tem, decided April 16, 1926, claims 10 and 11.
Pat. 1,555,842, C. G. Harris, Lifting jack, decided
April 17, 1926, claims 1 and 2.
Final decisions in interferences have been ren-
dered against the following registered trade-marks:
