Notice-Rules Relating to Applications of Foreign
Origin.
The relaxations of the rules which have been made in
favor of applications of foreign origin, owing to conditions
arising during the war, are terminated and the require-
ments of the rules will now be insisted on as before the
war.

Nolan Act-Reciprocity of the Laws of Denmark
Recognized.

UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE,
Washington, D. G., March 2, 1922.
Notice is hereby given that the laws of Denmark are
recognized as affording to citizens of the United States
privileges substantially reciprocal to the privileges ac-
corded by the Nolan Act of March 3, 1921, (41 Stat. L.,
1310,) and that consequently the privileges specified in
said act will be extended to subjects of Denmark, subject
to the limitation that extensions will not be granted
to relieve defaults falling under section 2 of the act for
a longer period than five years and five months.

Adverse Decisions in Interference.
PATNT No. 1,165,085.
On January 4, 1922, a decision was rendered that John
Flammang was not the first inventor of the subject-matter
covered by claims 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 of his Patent
No. 1,165.085, subject,  Piston ring, and no appeal
having been taken within the time allowed such decision
has become final.
PATENT No. 1,212,337.
On January 4, 1922, a decision was rendered that John
Flammang was not the first inventor of the subject-matter
covered by claims 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 of his Patent
No. 1.212,337, subject,  Process of manufacturing piston
rings, and no appeal having been taken within the time
allowed such decision has become final.
Classification Bulletin.
Classification Bulletin No. 47, containing the revision
made during the period from July 1 to December 31, 1921,
is now out. Price 10 cents.

NOTICE.-CHANGES IN PATENT OFFICE FEES-EFFECTIVE APRIL 19, 1922.
The act of Congress approved February 18, 1922, amends section 4934,
Revised Statutes, so as to provide a fee on filing each original application
for a patent, except in design cases, of $20 instead of the present fee of $15.
The act also provides, in addition to the present fees for recording assign.
ments or other papers, that there shall be paid for each additional patent or
application included or involved in one writing, where more than one is so
included or involved, 25 cents additional.
These new fees are effective -on and after April 19, 1922.
Applications for patent, except in design cases, received on or after April
19, 1922, with only $15 filing fee will not be entered, but will be given a filing
date and serial number as of the day the full fee of $20 is received by the
Office.
