tion of those concerned.

LEGATION OF SWITZERLAND,
Washington, D. C., September 19, 1921.
Mr. SECRETARY OF STATE :
By my Government's direction, I have the honor to
inform your excellency that by a note dated August 2,
1921 the Government of the Republic of Finland notified
the Swiss Federal Council of its decision to adhere, with
the consent of the Parliament of the Republic to the Inter-
national Convention of Paris of March 20, 1883. for the
Protection of Industrial Property, revised at Brussels,
December 14, 1900, and at Washington, June 2, 1911, with
its final protocol (see article 18 of the Convention).

In accordance with article 16, paragraph 3, of the
Revised Union Convention of Paris the adhesion will take
effect one month after the sending of the notice to the
other countries in the Union by the Swiss Government,
that is to say, on September 20, 1921.
I beg your excellency kindly to take formal note of that
adhesion.

Julius Medveczky, hie assigns or legal representatives, take
notice:
An interference having been declared by this Oifice be-
tween the patent of Francis W. Borkes, 1606 East 27th
street, Cleveland, Ohio, granted Nov. 4, 1919, No.
1,320,528, and application for patent of Julius Medveczky,
95 Wilbur avenue, Long Island City, N. Y., and a notice
of such declaration sent by registered mail to Medveczky
at the said address having been returned by the post-offlice
undeliverable, notice is hereby given that unless said
Medvecsky, his assigns or legal representatives, shall en-
ter an appearance therein within thirty days from the
first publication of this order the interference will be pro-
ceeded with as in case of default.
This notice will be published in the OFFICIAL GAZETTE
for three consecutive weeks.

between the application of Columbian Rope Company,
Auburn, N. Y., for registration of a trade-mark and trade-
mark registered Mar. 12, 1901, No. 36.034 to Travers
Bros. Co., 107 Duane street, New York, N. Y., and a
notice of such declaration sent by registered mail to
Travers Bros. Co. at the said address having been returned
by the post-office undeliverable, notice is hereby given
that unless said Travers Bros. Co., Its assigns or legal
representatives, shall enter an appearance therein within
thirty days from the first publication of this order the
interference will be proceeded with as in case of default.
This notice will be published in the OFFICIAL GAZETTE

When an application for a design patent is found allowable, the patent will be granted for the
term asked in the application papers unless specific request has been made for notice prior to
allowance so that the term may be extended. Hereafter the Office will delay allowance
and notify the applicant ONLY in cases where a specific request is filed.
