Pursuant to a mandate of the Supreme Court of the
United States, the Court of Appeals of the District of
Columbia on May 1, 1920, rendered a decisiq that John
A. WintroatO     was not the first inventor of the subject-
matter covered by claims 2, 3. and 4 of his Patent No.
1,079,679.

PATENT No. 1,097,589.
On May 28. 1920, a decision was rendered that Albert
F. Jones was not the first inventor of the subject-matter
covered by claims 5, 6. 7. 8. and 0 of his Patent No.
1,097,589, subject, Counter-forming machines, and no
appeal having been taken within the time allowed such
decision has become final.
PATENT No. 1,184,741.
On April 27, 1920, a decision was rendered that Charles
L. Goodrum was not the first inventor of the subject-
matter covered by claims 1, 4. 7, and 8 of his Patent No.
1,184.741, subject, Telephone-exchange systems, and no
appeal having been taken within the time allowed such
decision has become final.
PATENT No. 1,224,008.
On June 4, 1920, a decision was rendered that Lothar
R. Zitlerer was not the first inventor of the subject-matter
covered by claims 8 and 9 of his Patent No. 1,224,698,
subject,  Expansion device, and no appeal having been
taken within the time allowed such decision has become
final.

PATENT No. 1,260,034.
On June 20, 1920, a decision was rendered that Angelo
Perri was not the first inventor of the subject-matter
covered by claim 49 of his Patent No. 1,260,034, subject,
 Lasting-machine, and no appeal having been taken
within the time allowed such decision has become final.
PATENT NO. 1,267,367.
On June 5, 1920. a decision was rendered that John H.
A. Bousfield was not the first inventor of the subject-
matter covered by claims 3 and 8 of his Patent No.
1,267,387, subject,  Dial-scale, and no appeal having
been taken within the time allowed such decision has be-
come final.

This Office has been advised by the Assistant Secretary of the Treasury
that a circular letter is being forwarded    to the Treasurer and Assistant
Treasurers of the United States, Federal Reservo Banks, and National Bank
depositaries calling attention to the act of Congress approved March 0, 1920,
which requires that patent fees be paid directly to the Commissioner of Patents.
