country to prosecute a patent appilention in that country,
if delivered in the United States by being deposited in the
United States malls for transmission to an attorney in
the foreign country, is subject to stamp-iax under sub-
division 12. selde A, act of Otoler 3, 1917.
A power of attorney executed in a foreign country,
malled there to an appointee In the United States, is not
subject to stamp-tsr under said subdivision 12,

A power of attorney executed and delivered abroad to
an appointee there and sent by him to the United States
Patent Office to accompany a patent application, is not
subject to stamp-tax under said subdivision 12.
