Panama-Pacific Exposition,
In compliance with the provisions of the act approved
September 18, 1913, (H. R. 7595, Public No. 14,) a
branch office of the United States Patent Office has been
opened at San Francisco, Cal., for the purpose of Issuing
certificates of proprietorship, as provided in said act.

Full Names of Applicants.
*  *  *All applications which disclose the full name
of the applicant in the preamble of the specification will be
received and considered as a sufficient compliance with
Rule 40 of the Rules of Practice. (Order 521.)
When the full first name of the applicant does not ap-
pear either in his signature or In the preamble to the speci-
fication, the Examiner will, in his first official letter, re-
quire an amendment supplying the omission, and he will
not pass the application to Issue until the omission has
been supplied, unless an affidavit shall have been filed set-
ting forth that the full first name of the applicant Is the
one originally given by him. (Order 600.)
Briefs in Appealed Oases,
All briefs filed in this Office should have conspicuously
printed thereon a statement designating the particular tri-
bunal of the Patent Office to which the brief is addressed.
