The attached revision pages constitute a consolidated edition. All revisions, including
Revision No. 1, have been consolidated with the first edition. These revision pages
replace all existing Manual pages.
The notation [R-l] appears at the title of a new or revised section. Particular
attention is called to the following sections:

Headings  revised or added as appropriate.
Amendment   to allege use may now be filed during
pendency  of ex parte appeal. See § 1105.05(a)(i).
Change  of due diligence standard from 6 months to 12
months.
Status inquiries may be directed to Trademark Assistance
Center.
Information regarding assignment or name change no
longer entered on front of file wrapper.
Office no longer processes requests for indexing
additional application or registration numbers against
documents  previously recorded in Assignment Division.
Assignment  Division no longer sends out title reports.
Title reports may now be accessed through TRAM
system.
Clarification of procedures for establishing and changing
correspondence address, and for processing
correspondence signed by someone other than applicant
or applicant's designated attorney.
Applicant has duty to maintain current and accurate
correspondence address. Where applicant fails to notify
Office of change of correspondence address, failure to
receive Office Action may not be deemed unavoidable
for purposes of a petition to revive.
