REPORT

The Committee on Natural Resources, to whom was referred the
bill (H.R. 740) to provide for the settlement of certain claims under
the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, and for other purposes,
having considered the same, report favorably thereon with an
amendment and recommend that the bill as amended do pass.
The amendment is as follows:
Strike all after the enacting clause and insert the following:
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the Southeast Alaska Native Land Entitlement Final-
ization and Jobs Protection Act.
SEC. 2. DEFINITIONS.
In this Act:
(1) MAPS.-The term maps means the maps entitled Sealaska Land Enti-
tlement Finalization, numbered 1 through 25 and dated January 22, 2013.
(2) SEALASKA.-The term Sealaska means the Sealaska Corporation, a Re-
gional Native Corporation established under the Alaska Native Claims Settle-
ment Act (43 U.S.C. 1601 et seq.).
(3) SECRETARY.-The term Secretary means the Secretary of the Interior.
(4) STATE.-The term State means the State of Alaska.
SEC. 3. FINDINGS; PURPOSE.
(a) FINDINGS.-Congress finds that-
(1)(A) in 1971, Congress enacted the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (43
U.S.C. 1601 et seq.) to recognize and settle the aboriginal claims of Alaska Na-
