handle is hein.congrec/findtfka0001 and id is 1 raw text is: CONGRESSIONAL BUDGET OFFICE COST ESTIMATE June 22, 2018 H.R. 6069 FIND Trafficking Act As ordered reported by the House Committee on Financial Services on June 14, 2018 H.R. 6069 would direct the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to prepare a study for the Congress within one year on how virtual currencies and online marketplaces are used to facilitate sex and drug trafficking. The study would include recommendations for federal actions. Based on the costs of similar studies, CBO estimates that it would cost less than $500,000 over the 2019-2020 period for GAO to compete the study; any spending would be subject to the availability of appropriated funds. Enacting H.R. 6069 would not affect direct spending or revenues; therefore, pay-as-you- go procedures do not apply. CBO estimates that enacting H.R. 6069 would not increase net direct spending or on- budget deficits in any of the four consecutive 10-year periods beginning in 2029. H.R. 6069 contains no intergovernmental or private-sector mandates as defined in the Unfunded Mandates Reform Act. The CBO staff contact for this estimate is Matthew Pickford.
