H.R. 1472 would change the name of the Homestead National Monument of America in the
Nebraska to the Homestead National Historical Park. Based on the cost of similar efforts,
CBO estimates that the cost to revise federal maps and signs to reflect the new name would
be insignificant. Any spending would be subject to the availability of appropriated funds.

The CBO staff contact for this estimate is David Hughes. The estimate was reviewed by
H. Samuel Papenfuss, Deputy Assistant Director for Budget Analysis.
