The accompanying statement is worthy of the serious consideration of the
friends of the Indian. I hope that they will write to their representatives in
Congress asking for the prompt enactment of the legislation recommended
therein.
I also earnestly hope that the press of the country will assist in this forward
movement for the Indian by calling attention to the matter.
