                     Constitution and Bylaws
                              of the
                        Village of Tazlina
                              Alaska

                              Preamble
     We, a group of residents of Tazlina, Alaska, having a common bond
of residence, in order to pranote our welfare through the development
of Governmental and economic interprises, do establish this Constitution
and by laws.

                         Article I- Name
     The name of this organization shall be Tazlina Village Council.

               Article II- Definition of Territory
     The exterior boundaries of Tazlina Village Council shall coincide
with land selected under the Alaska Native claims settlement act and
any other land acquined by this village.

                     Article III- Membership
     Section 1- All persons whose names appear on the membership roll
compiled by the village shall be members of this Village.

     Section 2-A. New members. All children of any member who is a
resident of Tazlina Village shall be members of this Community.
               B. Any person who becomes a resident of Tazlina may
be adopted by the Council by a majority vote in its regularly called
meeting.
     Section 3- Definition of adult, any person who is 18 years
of age or older will be considered adult.

                     Article IV- The Council

     Section 1- There shall be a Council composed of a President and
four members elected by the adult members of the Community.

     Section 2- The Council shall represent the Comunity in all its
understanding and shall exercise the powers of the Community enumerated
in this Constitution.
     Section 3- Each member of the Council shall serve for a term
of two years.

                 Article V- Powers of the Council

     Section 1- To do all things for the common good which it has done
or has had the right to do in the past and which are not against Federal
and State laws as may apply.

     Section 2- To deal with the Federal government and its agencies
and the State government and its agencies on behalf of the Cormunity;
to deal with any person, firm, Corporation or municipality on behalf
of the CcmTnunity.

     Section 3- To provide for filling vacancies in office consistent
with this Constitution.
