                                   TRADITIONAL
                            CONSTITUTION AND BYLAWS
                                     of the
                             Village of Tuntutuliak
                                     Alaska
                                     PREAMBLE
        We, a group of residents of Tuntutuliak, Alaska , having a common bond
of residence , in order to promote our welfare through the development of gov-
ernmental and economic enterprises, do establish this Constitution and Bylaws.

                               ARTICLE I - NAME
        The name of this organization shall be  TRADITIONAL VILLAGE OF TUNT-
UTULIAK .
                     ARTICLE II - DEFINITION OF TERRITORY
Persuant to the boundaries marked in the Alaska Native Land Claims Act.
                            ARTICLE III - MEMBERSHIP

        Section I - All persons whose names appear on the Census Roll, taken
by the Village Council of Tuntutuliak shall be members of the Community.
        Section 2 - a. New Members - All children to be born at any member
who is a resident of Tuntutulial shall be members of the Community.
                    b. Any person who becomes a resident of Tuntutuliak
may be adopted by the Council by a majority vote in its regularly called
meeting.
        Section 3 - Definiton of Adult - Any person who is 18 yrs. of age or
older will be considered as an 8dult..

                       ARTICLE IV - THE VILLAG , COUNCIL
        Section I - There shall be a Council Composed of a President and four
members elected by the Adult members of the Community.
        Section 2 - The Council shall represent the Community in all its under-
takings and shall exercise the power of .the Community enumerated in this Consti-
tution.
        Section 3 - Each member of the Council shall serve for a term of 2 yrs.
on a staggering basis.
