 We, the Alaska Natives, having a cbum I-bd          of residenc   in tke
 neiJorhood of Eagle, Alaska, do ordain and establish this CmStitution
 in  accordance with  and by authority of the Indian Rrganization Act of
 June 18, 1934 (48 Stat. 984), as amended, by the Act of June 15, 1935 (49
 Stat. 378), and May 1, 1936 (49 Stat. 1250).

                             ARTICLE I - NAME

 The name of this organization shall be the Native Village of Eagle.

                          ARTICLE II - TERI'IM

The territory ard/or jurisdiction of the Native Village of Eagle shall
extend to such Indian country, as defined by Federal law, as ray exist.

                         ARTICLE III - MEMAR{IP
Section   1. Basic Memership. The basic memership of the Native Village
of  Eagle  shall consist of all Alaska Natives utme names appear on the
roll of Native Village of Eagle approved by the Secretary of the Interior
on   January 18, 1989  ; provided that, the council may correct the basic
  re ership roll within two    (2) years   from the effective date of this
otnstitution subject to the approval of the Secretary of the Interior.

Section  2.    Qualifications  for Memfbership.   Any persons of at least
ea-quarter   (1/4) degree Alaska Native or other federally recognized
American  Indian blood who meets any of the following qualifications shall
be eligible to be a member of the Native Village of Eagle:

(a)    has physically   resided  in Native Village of Eagle, Alaska, for a
       period of at    least one (1) year immediately prior to the date of
       application for   Imership; or

(b)    is descerded from an enrollee to Eagle under:

       1. the terms of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, as
           amended; or
       2. the basic       rship roll approved by the Secretary of the
           Interior pursuant to Section 1 of this Article.
