CONSTITUTION


                                      OF THE


                        WYANDOTTE TRIBE OF OKLAHOMA


                                    PREAMBLE


 We, the Wyandotte Indians of Oklahoma, initially organized under a constitution and
 bylaws approved by the Assistant Secretary of the Interior on July 17, 1937, and ratified
 by our voters on July 24, 1937, pursuant to the Oklahoma Indian Welfare Act of June 26,
 1936 (49 Stat. 1967), having been terminated from federal supervision by the Act of
 August 1, 1956 (70 Stat. 893; 25 USC 791-807), subsequently reinstated as a federally
 supervised and recognized Indian tribe by the Act of May 15, 1978 (92 Stat. 246), and
 desiring to continue to avail ourselves of the opportunities of economic independence
 and social advancement offered by the Oklahoma Indian Welfare Act, do hereby adopt
 the following constitution pursuant to that act. This constitution shall supersede all
 previously adopted constitutions and bylaws.


                                ARTICLE I - NAME


The name of this organization shall be the Wyandotte Tribe of Oklahoma.


                             ARTICLE II - OBJECTIVES


Section 1. The objectives of the Constitution are:

      (a)  To promote the general welfare of the Wyandotte Tribe.

      (b)  To set forth tribal powers and fundamental governing principles.

      (c)  To provide for continued tribal existence.

      (d)  To protect both tribal and individual rights.


                            ARTICLE I] - MEMBERSHIP


Section 1. The membership of the Wyandotte Tribe of Oklahoma shall consist of the
following persons provided they are United States citizens and not enrolled as members
of any other federally recognized Indian tribe:

     (a)   All persons of Indian blood whose names appcar on the official Census Roll
           of the tribe as of January I, 1937.
