State of California, in order to promote our common welfare and to secure to ourselves and our descendants rights, powers and privileges inherent in our sovereign status, and to exercise the rights granted to us under the Auburn Zndian Restoration Act, P.L. 103-434, and the Act of JUne 18, 1934, 25 U.S.C. 1S 461, et seq., 48 Stat. 984, an amended, more commonly )mown as the Indian Reorganization Act, do hereby adopt this Constitution. -ART=L T.
