                                 CONSTITUTION
                                     OF THE
                  NATIVE VILLAGE OF KOKEANOK, ALASKA

                                   PREAMBLE

       We, the Alaska Natives of Kok-anok Alaska, having common bonds of ancestry,
culture and community identity, in order to fully exercise our inherent right of self-
gover-nent and self deternination as an Alaska Native people and to promote our
common political, social, health, and economic progress, do ordain and establish this
Constitution.

                                ARTICLE I. NAME

       The narne of this organization is the Native Village of Kokhanok.

                             ARTICLE 11. TERRITORY

Section I Jurisdiction. The jurisdiction of the Native Village of Kokhanok consists of but
not limited to, all territory within the inhabited limits of the Village, all lands acquired by
the Village, all lands selected by the Village pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims
Settlement Act, all Native allotments held by the United States in trust for the benefit of
Tribal members, all lands of Tribal mernbers which are restricted because of their
owner's status as Alaska Natives, and to all areas customarily and traditionally used by
tribal members for hunting, fishing, gathering and other subsistence activities, to the full
extent permitted by federal, state and tribal law.

Section 2 Territorial Jurisdiction. The territorial jurisdiction of Kokhanok Village shall
extend to all lands acquired by Kokhanok Village, to all lands selected by Alaska
Peninsula Corporation under the Alaska Native Land Claims Settlement Act for
Kokhanok Village, to all lands within the Village's site and to any other Indian Countr-y
of the village as may exist under federal law.

                            ARTICLE mE. MEMBERSHP

 Section I Base Mernbershi. All persons listed on the Base Roll of Kokhanok Village
 dated December 18, 1971, are members of the Village. Any person whose name does not
 appear on the Base Roll and who meets the eligibility of Article Ill, Section 2 of this
 Constitution can apply for menbership under procedures established by the Tribal
