Although most people readily cite to Jesus Christ as the supreme example of a peacemaker, gentle Jesus, meek and mild, Christ expressed righteous indignation for the abomination of God's house of worship that was manifested in a physical act of violence. See Mark 11:15-18. Since Christ was without sin, the conclusion is inescapable: anger is not necessarily wrong, but can be an appropriate response to certain abuses and transgressions. The question remaining, however, is when, if at all, it would be appropriate to express that anger in violence directed against property or even one's fellow man. 2 Power without ethics is profane and destructive in any community.
