In 1980-81, Mr. Heiss held the office of past President of the American Bankers Association Trust Division. In 1976, he served as Chairman of the Michigan Bankers Associa- tion Trust Division. He served as a Director and past President of the Business School Alumni Board of Michigan State University, as Director of the MSU Development Fund, and is the past Pres- ident and Director of the Detroit Golf Club. In addition to the many positions held by Mr. Heiss, he has lectured at Southwestern Graduate School of Banking, the Bank- ing School of the South, the Graduate School of Banking at Madison, Wisconsin and the Federal Financial Institute Exami- nation Council. He is the contributing author of the chapter, Trust Services for Individual Customers, The Bankers Hand- book, 3rd Edition, by Dow Jones-Irwin. Mr. Heiss and his wife, Nancy, reside in Farmington Hills, Michigan, and Seabrook Island, South Carolina and have two married sons. GEORGE N. BASHARA, JR. Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel Federal-Mogul Corporation George N. Bashara, Jr., is Vice President, Secretary and Gen- eral Counsel of Federal-Mogul Corporation. In 1960, Mr. Bashara entered into private practice with his father under the firm name of Bashara and Bashara. In 1963, Mr. Bashara was appointed as a member and, later, Chairman of the Michigan Employment Security Commission Board of Ap- peals. He was appointed judge of the Wayne County Probate Court in 1969 and served as presiding judge of the court for two successive terms. He was appointed to the Michigan Court of Appeals in 1973 and served in that position until February of 1982 when he resigned to become a full partner in the statewide firm of Dykema Gossett. In 1987, Mr. Bashara joined Federal- Mogul Corporation and currently holds the offices of Vice Presi- dent, Secretary and General Counsel. Mr. Bashara served on the Executive Committee of the Appel- late Judges Conference of the American Bar Association. He has been a lecturer to several legal and judicial education training
