University of Maryland, College Park. He is the author of THE ECONOMY OF THE EARTH:
PHILOsoPHY, LAw, AND THE ENVIRONMENT (1988).
Professor Sagoff presented this paper (and numerous other thoughts) at the University
of Utah, College of Law in the spring of 1992. The presentation was part of an annual event
that is co-sponsored by the College of Law and the College's Natural Resources Law Forum
(NRLF), an organization comprised of students interested in energy, natural resources and
environmental law. The event, known as the NRLF Spring Forum, brings distinguished
speakers to the College to participate in lectures and student/faculty roundtable discussions.
Papers presented at the forum are published in JENREL.
