The Hon Lionel Bowen, MP, remains in the Cabinet as Deputy Prime Minister and Attorney- General and in his capacity as Attorney-General has overall responsibility for law enforcement functions previously handled by the Special Minister of State. The Minister for Justice who will assist the Attorney-General within his portfolio, is Senator the Hon Michael Tate. M M O - Following the retirement of Mr John J O'Neill, QC, the first Chairman of the New Law Reform Commission, Mr J Derek Green, QC, has been appointed Chairman. Mrs Carol Ann Beson, Mrs Linda Hunt Black, Madame Justice Margaret A Cameron, Mr Thomas W Marshall, QC, Mr Carl R Thompson and Mr John F Roil have been appointed Commissioners for a three-year term effective from 13 April 1987. The Hon Richard Ground has been appointed Attorney-General. Following the recent elections and the change of Government the Hon Christodoulos Chrysanthou has been appointed Minister of Justice. The Hon Stella Soulioti remains as Attorney-General. Mr Justice Kutlu Fuad, a former Director of the Legal Division of the Common- wealth Secretariat, has been appointed as a Vice-President of the Court of Appeal to preside over one of its three divisions. The Hon Shri Bindeshwari Dubey has been appointed Minister of Law and Justice. The following judicial appointments took effect from 6 January 1988- 1.
